Every trading market quoted in USD, USDT, USDC and similar stablecoins, without dated futures; measured on 4 November 2026, 16:18 UTC. “At most” = minutes since the first candle; minutes without trades and maintenance pauses are not subtracted. Funding = rate per interval in the snapshot taken on 4 November 2026, 16:18 UTC, positive means longs pay.

Every trading market with BTC as the base currency, including pairs against BTC, EUR and other quotes; measured on 4 November 2026, 16:18 UTC. Edgetrail can replay every one of them.

Which BTC market to replay

  • For the longest history: BTC-USD on Coinbase (spot) – 11.3 years of 1-minute candles, including the 2017 and 2021 cycles – or BTCUSDT spot on Binance from 17 August 2017.
  • To test what you actually trade as a perpetual: BTCUSDT on Bybit or BTCUSDT on Binance USDⓈ-M. Their history is 2.1 to 2.6 years shorter than Binance spot, but the candles are the ones your stop would have hit.
  • Inverse traders: BTCUSD on Bybit starts on 14 November 2018 – 497 days before Bybit’s USDT perpetual.
  • OKX: BTC-USDT spot from 11 January 2018, BTC-USDT-SWAP from 16 December 2019.

In the app, choose the exchange and market type, then type “btc” – Edgetrail resolves it to BTCUSDT, BTC-USDT-SWAP or BTC-USD, depending on the exchange. Bitcoin was #1 by 24-hour turnover across all nine market types ($49.4 bn) when this was measured.

Funding on BTC perpetuals

Replay results don’t include funding payments. To get a feel for the size: at the rates in the snapshot taken on 4 November 2026, 16:18 UTC, a $10,000 long held for three days would have paid about $9 on Bybit (0.01% every 8 hours) and paid about $9 on Binance (0.01% every 8 hours) – an illustration with one snapshot, since rates change every interval. The funding fee calculator works it out for any rate, and crypto futures fees compared lists trading fees and intervals per exchange.

Data and licence

The tables on this page come from the crypto candle history measurement of 4 November 2026, 16:18 UTC; the daily BTCUSDT statistics are in the CSV of the previous day high/low study. Data licence: CC BY 4.0 – please cite “Edgetrail (edgetrail.app)” as the source.

How a BTC replay session works

Pick a start date – or a random one – and step forward candle by candle in 1-minute to weekly candles, with the future hidden. Draw a long or short position with entry, stop and target; Edgetrail fills it at the next candle and logs every closed trade with its R in a separate backtest journal. Edgetrail can also draw the previous day’s high and low (PDH/PDL, on UTC days) and the Tokyo, London and New York sessions on the chart; how often BTC took the previous day’s high or low since 2017 is measured on its own data page. To check whether a setup holds beyond Bitcoin, replay Ethereum or Solana with the same rules. The method is in how to backtest a crypto strategy; the full market list per exchange is on the Bybit, Binance, OKX and Coinbase pages. Edgetrail costs $24 a month or $199 a year; the first 50 Founders pay $99 once, after that a Lifetime plan costs $249 once. The first 14 days are free without a credit card, and every payment comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
