Edgetrail vs Hyperjournal

Hyperliquid trading journals compared: Hyperjournal, TradesViz and Edgetrail

Three ways to journal Hyperliquid trades from a wallet address – a free specialist, an analytics journal and a journal with replay.

Short answer

Three journals import Hyperliquid trades from your public wallet address: Hyperjournal is free and Hyperliquid-only, TradesViz syncs automatically once a day, and Edgetrail fetches the last 10,000 fills on demand into a full journal with replay and a daily routine. None of them needs an API key; Hyperjournal asks for a one-time message signature to sign in.

Pick Hyperjournal if you trade only Hyperliquid perps and want a free, focused journal that also reads funding. Pick TradesViz for automatic daily sync and a very large set of statistics. Pick Edgetrail if Hyperliquid is one of several venues, you want bar replay and your journal in one plan, or you need more than 2,000 orders of history per import.

Where Hyperjournal is stronger

  • It is free. Its terms describe it as “a free, read-only journal”; Edgetrail has no free plan, only 14 days free.
  • Funding is in. Its privacy notice lists fills, funding and positions; Edgetrail’s Hyperliquid import does not include funding.
  • Built for Hyperliquid. It names HIP-3 perps explicitly and asks for a thesis before each trade.

Keep in mind that Hyperjournal calls itself an independent project without a named operator, and its terms say features may change and the service may be discontinued. Its data sits on a single server in Singapore (Hyperjournal privacy notice).

Where TradesViz is stronger

  • Automatic sync. TradesViz pulls new Hyperliquid orders once every 24 hours; Edgetrail fetches only when you click.
  • Depth of analytics. 600+ statistics, AI insights and charts with entry and exit markers.
  • Breadth. Many more brokers and exchanges with auto-sync – see Edgetrail vs TradesViz for the full comparison.

How the Hyperliquid import works in Edgetrail

  1. Copy your wallet address (it starts with 0x) and paste it into Settings → “Fetch from exchange” → Hyperliquid; use the sub-account or vault address if you trade through one.
  2. Choose a period of 7, 30, 90 or 365 days. The request goes directly from your browser to Hyperliquid’s public API, never through the Edgetrail server, and nothing has to be signed.
  3. Edgetrail reads the perpetual fills (spot is skipped) and turns every closing order into one trade, net after fees: the opening fee is split across the closing orders. Funding is not included.
  4. Hyperliquid returns at most the last 10,000 fills, so very active wallets should import regularly. Every trade then gets its system, tags and notes, and appears in the calendar and analytics.

Step by step with screenshots of the settings: Hyperliquid trading journal. A position closed in three orders therefore arrives as three trades; how that changes trade count and win rate compared with one trade with several exits is shown in how to journal partial exits. Since funding is missing, crypto futures P&L with fees and funding shows how to add it by hand, and changes to the import are dated in the changelog. Edgetrail’s replay does not use Hyperliquid candles; it plays 4,952 crypto markets from Bybit, Binance, OKX and Coinbase.

Which one fits you

Only Hyperliquid, no budget, journaling mostly in words: start with Hyperjournal. Several brokers, stocks next to crypto, and you want every statistic: TradesViz. Crypto perps on Hyperliquid and other exchanges, with replay to test setups before you trade them: test Edgetrail for 14 days. The crypto trading journal roundup puts these next to TradeZella, TraderSync, Tradervue and Edgewonk.

A note on fairness

All brand and product names belong to their respective owners and are used here only to identify the products. Edgetrail is not affiliated with any of these sellers. Prices are list prices as shown on the sellers’ pricing pages on 4 November 2026; the sellers’ own pages are always the authoritative source. Hyperjournal’s and TradesViz’s Hyperliquid details were checked on their own pages on 4 November 2026; where a page does not say something, the table says “not stated”.
